NaniBird meets Hetty Rose, plus the Peeps!

A little over a month ago I received an email from Lisa Rahman, a graphic design student finishing up her degree from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. For her final project, Lisa was working with Scottish shoe designer Hetty Rose, helping to design the opening launch of a new line of shoes. And she wanted some custom NaniBirds to help out.

Hetty's shoe designs are based on patterned kimono fabrics so I made a few birds using similar designs. But besides the NaniBirds, a few new characters made their debut.... the Peeps! I was wanting to develop something to go along with the Nani's and I came up with these little guys. I hope you like them. Check out this flickr set to see more of both the custom NaniBirds and Peeps. I'm planning to do some more with these little guys but they're not quite ready yet. Check back soon for more news.

Here's a couple of pics of the whole lot of them hatching on the train on their way from London up to Scotland. To check out more of Lisa's work head to her portfolio site and to see more of her final project with Hetty and all those pretty shoes, head over to her excellent blog of the process.
